2017 Ford F-150 XL vs XLT

Choosing a new vehicle isn’t often easy. Even once you decide on the right make and model, you have to choose the trim level that suits your needs and your budget best. If you’re someone interested in the 2017 Ford F-150, we’re here to help by comparing the XL vs XLT trim levels.

Although we can’t compare every tiny detail, we’ve highlighted some of the more popular and desirable characteristics for each trim below. As you may be able to tell from photos, the XL model is definitely more of a bare bones worker truck, coming equipping with the essentials most pickup drivers need. If you’re looking to expand on that, however, then the XLT model is your next choice. Regardless of which model you choose, however, you’ll have the same engine options available to you and the same maximum trailer weight.
