Engine Options
There are two engine options available of the 2019 Ford Expedition, but they are both very similar. In fact, both are 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engines.
The standard EcoBoost engine gives you 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The 3.5-liter engine in the top Platinum trim gives you even more with 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Both are more than capable.
Towing
Towing isn’t always something that you think of when you think of an SUV, but the Expedition begs you to think different. Standard, the Expedition can tow up to 6,000 pounds.
Need more? When properly equipped, the Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds. That’s enough for most trailers, many boats, and even the job site. The Expedition is ready.
MAX
Outside of the three trim levels, there are actually two versions of the 2019 Expedition. You have the regular Expedition and the Expedition MAX.
The Expedition Max is longer by a foot giving you more cargo room to work with. Interestingly, the MAX also gives you over 5 gallons of extra fuel capacity extending your range even farther.
Cargo
The Expedition is huge both inside and out, and when it comes to cargo, you will never want for room. The standard Expedition gives you 30.9 cubic-feet of room behind the third row and 104.6 cubic-feet of room with all the seats folded flat.
The Expedition MAX gets even better cargo room with 36 cubic-feet behind the third row and 121.4 cubic-feet with all the seats folded flat.
Entertainment
The Expedition knows that it was built for families. With room for eight, there’s room to stretch out, but what’s more, the second row can enjoy the optional rear entertainment system.
With a screen mounted in each headrest and support for DVDs, game systems, and even the ability to stream from mobile, your passengers will have the entertainment they need.
Technology
