Horses and Hogs 2014
It’s almost here: the 6th Horses & Hogs event here in Fond du Lac will take place this weekend, and here at Holiday Ford we’re a proud sponsor of this highly entertaining event for a great cause. If you’re looking for information about the schedule, location, or ways to participate in the Horses and Hogs 2014, you’ve come to the right place! Here are some details and highlights for you to look forward to!
Why Horses and Hogs? It’s a chance for Ford Mustang (horses!) and Harley-Davidson (hogs!) fans to come together to celebrate their own and one another’s hobbies and to benefit a great cause: active and retired military personnel and their families in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties. In fact, for this reason the event has actually been renamed as of this year: Now it’s called Heroes, Horses, and Hogs!
Where and when? Heroes, Horses, and Hogs will take place on Saturday, July 12 2014 from 10am to 3pm for the show, with live music continuing on until 8pm. It will be held right at Open Road Harley Davidson here in Fond du Lac, and co-sponsored by us here at Holiday Ford just a short drive away!
So what’s on for the event? You’ll be amazed at how much the organizers have been able to pack into one amazing day! Of course you’ll want to check out all the amazing Mustang cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles brought in by guests (and the Harleys on display in the Open Road showroom!), but the fun doesn’t even come close to stopping there. You’ll get a chance to check out vendors, win prizes, and get some great food from Eden Meat Market & Catering (think pulled BBQ pork sandwiches, burgers, brats, and steak sandwiches with Wisconsin cheese!). But that’s not all! What would such an event be without a beer garden and live music? The jumbo tent will have it all!
What else can you expect? There will be a roller derby demonstration at 1pm by the Fox Cityz Foxz Roller Derby Team, Grandpa Chuck’s Kettle Corn will be available, and how about some Meet & Greets with Miss Fond du Lac 2014, Miss Wisconsin 2014, and former Green Bay Packer Ahman Green!
