Car-A-Funda 2014
If you’re a fan of getting up close and personal with vintage cars and helping out good causes, there’s a great upcoming event here in Fond du Lac that we want to let you know about! It’s the annual Car-A-Funda Charity Car Show. You may or may not know this, but 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of this great community event here in Fond du Lac. Whether this is your first time hearing about it or you’re a long-time attendee who’s just looking for details on the Car-A-Funda 2014 event, Holiday Ford has all the info you need to come be a part of a quarter century long tradition of great cars and an excellent cause.
What is Car-A-Funda? The event is an annual car show and fundraiser held in Fond du Lac that’s put on by the Fondy Vintage Auto Club in an effort to raise funds for an organization called “With A Little Help…” Inc. The charity, based in Franklin, WI, raises money for adults with muscular dystrophy and other related neuromuscular diseases who are wheelchair-bound to attend summer camps and other recreational activities throughout the year. Attendees may register their vintage cars as part of the show or just come to look around and support the cause.
Where and When is Car-A-Funda 2014? This year’s event will be held on Sunday July 27th at Lakeside Park on Oven Island here in Fond du Lac. It begins at 8:00a.m. and runs until 4:00p.m. Registration for participants will happen from 8:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. The first 200 vehicles will receive plaques for their dash.
What else is there to do? In addition to checking out all the unique vintage vehicles on display at this year’s Car-A-Funda, attendees can also look forward to music from the “Fabulous 50’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Party. There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle held on site. Finally, attendees can visit the food stand where hotdogs, brats, burgers, and more can be purchased.
