Ford C240 Release Date

Is there a new Ford hybrid on the horizon? We’ve been hearing from various news sources online that there may be an entire lineup of body styles based around a new hybrid model that’s being referred to as the Ford C240 –  though the name will almost certainly change if were are in fact to get this model in production. As for a Ford C240 release date, that’s fairly hard to say since Ford isn’t one to comment on speculation about future models, but from what we’ve gathered we might be able to expect the new hybrid line as early as 2018.

It sounds like a long time from now, we know, but there’s no doubt that if Ford’s in the early stages of developing a from-scratch model for the hybrid car market, they’re going to take their time and do it right in order to compete with the established dedicated hybrids that already do very well.

Fans of Ford and the company’s lineup probably know already that Ford’s no stranger to the hybrid game. With a hybrid version of the popular Ford Fusion and a Ford C-Max Hybrid that’s based off its European gas-powered cousin of the same name, it’s definitely true that Ford knows how to create a world-class hybrid that’s competitive on the market. But our favorite motor company is really upping the ante now, it sounds like, with these rumored plans to develop a line of hybrid cars that are created specifically and singularly to perform on the hybrid market.

Sources speculate that maybe by the time the new Ford models are ready for release, hybrids won’t be as in favor as they are today and more people will be turning to electric and fuel cell models, but we hold out hope that the innovative and fuel-saving hybrid car market is here to stay and Ford can continue to solidify its place there with new and exciting options for us! Stay tuned here and we’ll let you know as we receive word about further developments!
