Here at Holiday, we try our best to get involved with community events and charities, and it extends beyond providing sponsorship money and having our name listed. We’re not afraid to roll up our shirt sleeves and really volunteer when the time is right, and this week it was. What was the occasion? The Fond du Lac area United Way put on a Week of Sharing, in which local businesses got together and provided volunteer time to help organizations in need of a hand.

Fond du Lac Literacy ServicesOn Wednesday, September tenth, four of us here from Holiday Automotive assisted the FDL Literacy Services with cataloging their library. We also helped with putting together packets, and even helped with a little bit of some clerical work. Because the program is largely volunteer driven, having just four of here to put in a day’s work ended up providing a great deal of help, and we’re very glad to have been able to lend our assistance.

If you’d like to learn more about the Fond du Lac Literacy services, located within the Fond du Lac public library on the second floor, simply visit their web page or stop by the library. There are always volunteer opportunities available whether you’d like to become a tutor, help with the library like we did today, or a number of other ways to get involved.

As always, we strive to make a meaningful difference in our area in addition to being your trusted source for automotive!
