Now that the 2015 model year is in full swing and the newest iteration of the Mustang is finally becoming available around the world (though we’ve been lucky enough to have it for quite some time already here at Holiday Ford!), it’s time to have some fun thinking about which Mustang options are most appealing to customers worldwide? If you had to guess, what’s the most popular Mustang color in the U.S., for example? How about Europe? The answers might just surprise you!
Ford’s been taking a look at some consumer data across the globe and in particular zoomed in on the color choices for Mustangs that have been garnering the most popularity. We’d sort of assumed the iconic red was going to be the frontrunner across the globe, the United States in particular, and well… not quite!
United States: For our home country, the number one color was black, followed by Magnetic Metallic and then Ruby Red.
Europe: In Europe, where sales of the new 2015 Ford Mustang have yet to begin (think mid-year for that big launch) but are not available for pre-order and website configuration, Race Red and Absolute Black tied for the top spot. The third place for Europe goes to Deep Impact Blue.
China: The Mustang just went on sale in China, and at number one with 35% of all orders is Race Red – a bold and statement-making choice for the fast-growing market. Coming in second was a color that didn’t either the USA or Europe top spots: Oxford White.
