Custom Ford Focus RS designed in Gaming Contest

If you’re a fan of custom or one-of-a-kind Ford vehicles, then you should have a look at this one-off design of the upcoming 2016 Ford Focus RS that was designed in a contest for soon-to-be-released game Forza Motorsport 6.

The contest was hosted by gaming media website IGN, and it allowed players of Forza Horizon 2 to create a custom design to celebrate the Ford Focus. The design was unveiled before the start of Gamescom, Europe’s biggest gaming convention. Additionally, the Stig from BBC’s Top Gear, who appears in the game, drove the car to the convention, where it will be setup for visitors to Gamescom.

If you’re into performance vehicles and Ford, then you’ve likely been eagerly awaiting the day that Ford would finally bring the RS line of Focus vehicles to the US. Well, thankfully that wait will be over soon. Ford is bringing its hot hatch to the US in Spring 2016. When it arrives, it will be powered by a 2.3L turbocharged engine that outputs more than 315 horsepower. Also included is changeable driving modes — including an industry first Drift mode — that drivers can select depending on driving situations.

The all-new Ford GT will also be making an appearance at Gamescom for visitors to see. The GT is the featured car on the cover of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 6 game for Xbox One. The new GT will be rocking a twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine that outputs a crazy amount of power. It will also be one of the most exclusive Ford vehicles ever created, since it’s worldwide volume will be limited.

We’re not likely to get a Ford Focus RS with that flashy of a paint job, but you can expect to see them around our lot when they’re available in spring. If you want to keep up to date on the latest Focus RS info, keep checking our blog regularly for updates.
