So what actually makes the F-150 an award winning truck? Wow, where do we begin? The F-150 is the best selling vehicle, not just the best selling truck in America, and its popularity is well deserved. It leads its class in towing, payload and efficiency. KBB particularly liked the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine that is available on the 2016 F-150. It’s the F-150’s most efficient engine choice, but it is also packed full of power. It can tow 8,500 lbs behind it if you want, but if you’re not hauling anything, then the truck will zoom along like a car.

KBB isn’t the only award giver to recognize how good of a value the Ford F-150 is. U.S. News & World Report also named Ford the best truck brand of 2016 — citing continued innovation in the F-series trucks. This includes new special edition appearance packages, the inclusion of the new infotainment system SYNC 3, and the availity to use alternate fuels. It also has available features like the backup assist, which has won it other awards recently.
