Are you as excited as we are for the return of the holiday season? Fond du Lac WI has tons of fun events going on throughout December, but how do you keep track of them all? We’ve put together a list of what we think are some of the best 2016 Christmas events in Fond du Lac WI. Take a look below and let us know if we missed your favorite!
2016 Holiday Parade of Lights in Fond du Lac
When: Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 4:15 p.m.
Where: Main Street
The KFIZ Holiday Parade in downtown Fond du Lac will once again be returning with the theme of “I’ll be Home for Christmas” to honor the men and women in uniform. The parade is set to begin its route at 4:15 p.m. on December 3, starting at North Main and heading south toward Veteran’s Park. When it arrives, Santa will even give a holiday greeting and light his own Christmas tree at 5 p.m.
Christmas Around the World
When: Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac
This is one of our favorite annual holiday events, and we’re excited to see it once again return to Fond du Lac. You can visit the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac and enjoy the fun of making holiday crafts, eating cookies, having some hot cocoa, and more! The main draw, though, is getting to see a bunch of different trees that are decorated to represent different parts of the world. And let’s not forget the visit with Santa!
Holiday Art and Craft Sale at Macy Place
When: Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Macy Place in Fond du Lac
Still need to find the perfect Christmas gift for a few people? You might be able to find just what you need at the Macy Place’s Holiday Art and Craft sale. There will be a good variety of different homemade crafts available, including folded paper flowers, original artwork, handmade soaps, knitted hats and bags, greeting cards, and much more! Admission is free, but you’ll have the chance to win some door prizes.
