Focus RS Engine Horsepower and Torque

The 2017 Focus RS is equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine, an engine that is also available for the 2017 Ford Mustang. It is this engine that earned its spot on the prestigious list. Not only is this engine powerful, but it is also surprisingly fuel efficient.

When equipped in the Focus RS, the power plant pumps out 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque when sipping on 93-octane fuel. The RS hatch, despite all that power, can still manage up to 25 mpg highway thanks to Ford’s innovative EcoBoost technology.

Thanks in part to all of that power, as well as a twin-scroll turbocharger, the Focus RS is plenty fast. It is capable of making the sprint from 0 – 62 mph in only 4.7 seconds.

The RS also offers four unique driving modes that include Track and Drift for those who enjoy taking their RS to their local track and pushing it to its limits. The car also features Ford’s Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring, which helps the hot hatch to deliver class-leading cornering speed.
