Do Ford Vehicles Have a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hot Spot?
These days, technology is constantly advancing. Every day it seems as though a new device or innovation is being released, especially in the automotive industry. Thankfully, Ford has always kept up with the times when it comes to innovation, leading many to wonder if Ford vehicles have the ability for 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spots.
If you’ve been wondering the same thing, then we have good news. Ford recently announced that it will be adding built-in Wi-Fi hot spot capability to the available SYNC Connect infotainment systems on vehicles. The Wi-Fi is powered by AT&T and can have up to 10 devices connected to it at one time. It will be made available for the first time in the fall of 2017 on select 2018 Ford vehicles.

How Does Ford’s In-Car Wi-Fi Work?
The thought of having Wi-Fi in your car may seem complicated, and well, it probably is. But for your purposes as a driver or passenger, it couldn’t be simpler.
Since the Wi-Fi hot spot is already in your car, there are no additional devices you need to purchase in order to get it to work. All you will need to do is select an AT&T data plan that works for your internet needs, and if you are already an AT&T customer with your smartphone, you can share data through the AT&T Mobile Share Advantage or Mobile Share Value plan. It’s a great way to stay well-connected on the go, no matter where you are.
We can’t wait to start offering Ford vehicles that have a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot capability, but until then, be sure to contact us at Holiday Ford or check back to our blog to stay updated.
