Big news has come out from Ford, as a new version of Ford’s iconic muscle car has been unveiled. The 2018 Ford Mustang comes with a wide range of changes stretching from the design to the performance of the vehicle, getting everyone excited for its future release date.

The Mustang is one of those automotive icons that every driving enthusiast must experience at least once in their life, regardless of model year. That said, it appears that the 2018 model year may see the most advanced Mustang Ford has engineered yet, and we only have to wait until it releases in the fall of 2017 to experience it for ourselves.

2018 Mustang Engine and Performance Specs

Under the hood is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine replacing the outgoing 3.7-liter V6 while being uniquely calibrated for the Mustang with a torque increase. Also available is a 5.0-liter V8 that has been reengineered to deliver more power and rev higher than any previous Mustang GT

Both engines will be available with a manual transmission, but a new 10-speed automatic transmission is also available. According to Ford, it is the best automatic transmission the Mustang has ever been equipped with thanks in part to its ability to deliver high average power for acceleration and quicker shift times.

New Tech Features In the 2018 Ford Mustang

Despite the performance improvements, one of the most exciting additions to the Mustang for 2018 is an available 12-inch all-digital LCD screen that acts as a customizable instrument cluster. Drivers can set the display for normal, sport or track modes so that the information they desire most is front and center.

The driving experience can be further personalized through the new Mustang MyMode. This feature allows drivers to save their favorite driving settings, like suspension and steering, so that they get their ideal driving experience each and every time they get behind the wheel. And for driving enthusiasts, that will be a big deal.
