Does the Fiesta ST have an exclusive engine?
When Ford builds a performance model, they build it right. That means the Fiesta ST definitely gets its own exclusive engine. All other Fiesta trims have a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque, but the ST pushes well above that.
The ST trim still has a 1.6-liter engine, but this time it’s turbocharged with direct injection. This allows the Fiesta ST to push out 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque. Both of these numbers are staggering and impressive. What’s even more impressive is that the Fiesta ST is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Other performance additions for the Fiesta ST
Not only do you get some big upgrades under the hood with the Fiesta ST, but other aspects of the car’s performance also see some significant upgrades. When it comes to handling, you can expect a more spirited control profile with a unique sport suspension and disc brakes at all four wheels. This all sits on 17-inch rims with performance summer tires.
