When Does the 2018 Expedition Go On Sale?
Speaking of a release date, let’s first answer the question many will probably have… When will the 2018 Expedition go on sale and when will you be able to get behind the wheel?
As these things generally go, there is no definitive date of release, but we do have a general idea of when you can expect the vehicles to start rolling out. According to Ford, the 2018 Expedition will begin arriving in the fall of 2017. It will be built in Louisville at Kentucky Truck Plant.
Tech Upgrades in the 2018 Expedition
Apart from the overall design of the vehicle, perhaps the area that has received the most upgrades is the technology department. In fact, Ford has said that the 2018 model is the smartest Expedition ever.
A number of newly available tech amenities have made their way to the vehicle. For example, the model offers an available wireless charging pad in the front center console, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot, making it easy to stay connected on the go. SYNC 3 can also be found, which delivers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay infotainment platforms.
Significant advancements have also been made in driver assistance technologies. The most desirable may likely be the class-exclusive active park assist feature, making it easy to enter or leave a parking spot.
2018 Ford Expedition Engine and Performance Specs
The 2018 model is also being considered the most capable Expedition yet produced. This is thanks in part to its 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that features an Auto Start-Stop system. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. For those who need to tow, the vehicle offers the Pro Trailer Backup Assist technology.
We’re extremely excited to show you the 2018 Ford Expedition changes in person, but we will have to wait until its fall 2017 release date. Until then, feel free to contact us at Holiday Ford to learn more about it or check back to the Holiday Ford blog for all of the latest updates.
