Can the Ford Focus Parallel Park itself?

If you’re looking for a fuel-efficient car that offers premium features like the ability to park on its own, then the Ford Focus is the car for you. Premium features like Active Park Assist are available on the 2016 Ford Focus Titanium trim, as are others like blind spot monitoring and cross traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, and a reverse sensing system. If your Ford vehicle is equipped with Ford Active Park Assist, then you’ll be able to take your hands off the wheel and let the Focus parallel park itself! Take a look at the video below to see how this feature works!

How does Ford Active Park Assist Work?

When activated, Ford Active Park Assist will automatically scan the area around you for an area that your car can fit into. It is recommended that you stay below 20 mph — probably even slower — and try to stay within 5 ft. of other parked vehicles. When it finds a suitable space the system will alert you, and provide you with instructions on how to proceed. We’ve embedded a video above that demonstrates how Ford Active Park Assist works in the Ford Focus and other Ford vehicles.
