The Holidays are time for giving back and helping those in need, and that’s certainly true for us here at Holiday Ford and throughout our Holiday Automotive family. That’s why this year we felt very fortunate to work together with the Fond du Lac Police Department and the Cops for Kids program for their annual toy drive.
The toy drive took place this month, during which we along with the other Holiday stores helped to collect over one hundred toys for area families, as well as coats, mittens, hats, gloves, and other items. We worked together not only with the Cops for Kids Program (more on that in a minute) but also with Festival Foods and the Fond du Lac Police Department chaplains, who along with other department members personally delivered donations to forty area families here in our community. Each family received a care package that included winter clothing, toys, and a holiday meal.
Cops for Kids does a lot of work in our community not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year through a variety of programs and services. The foundation was founded in 2000 and raises money for and awards scholarships, as well as participating in and hosting other events that help provide opportunities for local children and their families that place emphasis on education and overall quality of life.
Here at Holiday Ford, we’re proud to have been involved with the Cops for Kids program and hope to be able to do more with the foundation in the future.
