Is the Ford F-150 Safe?
If you want a safe pickup truck, then you won’t be able to do better than the 2016 Ford F-150 — which recently received top marks from the IIHS. In fact, it was the only truck tested for the large pickup category to receive highest grades for overall, structure, restraints and kinematics, head and neck, chest, hip and thigh, and lower leg and foot. Every truck tested in this category besides the F-150 actually received the lowest available grade for lower leg and foot protection.
In addition to the IIHS grades, the F-150 is the only truck in its class to receive five star safety ratings from the NHTSA for all its cab configurations, and in all crash test modes.

Is it expensive to repair the 2016 Ford F-150?
Ford states that the new Ford F-150 does so well in safety tests due to its high-strength steel frame and revolutionary aluminum body. There has been some worry and talk about the cost to repair a truck that is made from aluminum rather than steel though. If you’re worried about repair costs on the F-150, then don’t be! Ford — in conjunction with both Allstate and State Farm insurance — have all found that the real-world repair costs of the new aluminum F-150 models are significantly less than the previous generations.
