If you’ve been looking forward to checking out Halo 5: Guardians this fall (October 27th to be exact, but we’re sure your calendar is already marked), you may already be aware of this fun Halo-Ford connection. On display at the E3 trade show in Los Angeles this month is the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat — a custom, one-of-a-kind truck inspired by Halo’s United Nations Space Command vehicle.
We’ll give you the details on how this F-150 model was modified to make it into the special version that it is today, complete with plenty of pictures:
The model started its life as a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and FX4 off-road package. The award-winning pickup gets the following enhancements from Galpin Auto Sports to make it the Halo-ified terrain-busting vehicle you see pictured:
- Custom FOX Racing shocks
- Deaver leaf springs
- Currie full floater rear axle
- ADD fenders
- side steps
- chase rack
- 17-inch wheels with off-road tires
- Full custom Halo body wrap
- Xbox One custom gaming system installed inside with rear headrest displays
Here are the pictures:

After its visit to E3 June 16-18, the vehicle will be making more public appearances leading up to the game’s October release.
