When you’re looking at cars, there are a lot of factors to consider. From efficiency and power to cargo space and standard features – and of course the almighty price tag – you want to make sure you find something that’s going to suit your needs and preferences and be something you’ll enjoy driving for the long haul. Now, if you’re looking at your Ford options, you’ve come to the right place here at Holiday Ford. Wondering about some of the key differences between the Ford Focus vs Ford Fusion? We’ll go over some of the basics for you right here!
Price
Let’s get this big one out of the way right away, shall we? In short, the Focus is the less expensive of the two cars, and the reasons for that will be made apparent in the comparisons that follow. That said, you can get a high-end Focus that costs more than the introductory Fusion, so keep in mind that a lot depends on the trim level and optional packages that you choose. For the sake of keeping things simple today, we’ll be looking at the base model for both. We’re always happy to answer any questions you have about the available trims up from there – just give us a call.
Power & Efficiency
When it comes to get-up-and-go, the standard Fusion is going to have an advantage with its 175-horsepower 2.5-liter next to the Focus’s 160-horsepower 2.0-liter. As you might expect, then, the base Focus is going to get a bit better mileage ratings from the EPA. The 2015 Ford Focus is rated to achieve 36 highway and 24 city miles per gallon, and with the Fusion you should expect to see something more like 34 on the highway and 22 city.
Standard Features
As you can probably imagine, the Fusion packs a few more standard comfort and convenience features in. These include automatic exterior lights and lumbar support for the driver, as well as an overhead console, trip computer, and cruise control.
