Last year we told you a little bit about the Ford Warriors in Pink program, raising awareness and funds to help with ongoing efforts to fight breast cancer. Now Ford is announcing a new arm of the initiative, in which Warriors in Pink joins forces with Lyft and Meal Train to spur something called The Good Day Project, a call-to-action to help those with breast cancer have more good days.
For over two decades, the Warriors in Pink initiative has helped spark conversations and generate much-needed resources to benefit people living with breast cancer through a variety of campaigns and projects designed to make a difference. Now, The Good Day Project aims to give people a chance to help create more Good Days for those affected by breast cancer through a variety of efforts that include meals and errands through Meal Train, rides from Lyft, recommended reading, an encouraging playlist, and much more.
Meals and Other Help from Meal Train
Meal Train is a service that helps friends and family provide meals and other help to those living with breast cancer. This partnership will not only help direct people to the free Meal Train service but offer access to the premium Meal Train Plus service at no cost. Meal Train Plus takes it a step further by also helping to organize housework, rides, childcare, visitors, lawn work, and more. This includes an interactive online calendar, reminder emails, Facebook invites, and a lot more.
Rides to Appointments from Lyft
Beginning in June, a free rides program begins across 17 cities nationwide to help people with breast cancer get rides to and from treatment.
One of the major goals of the Warriors in Pink The Good Day Project is to help connect people who need help with the many who want to give help but aren’t sure how. The partnerships with Meal Train and Lyft will certainly help facilitate that, and hopefully result in a lot more good days.
