What Song Is In Ford’s Super Bowl 51 Commercial?

Although the Super Bowl is a big game watched by millions, there are a wide variety of reasons why people tune in. Some enjoy it for the football, while others are mostly just interested in the halftime show. Yet, others watch for all of the new commercials that are aired during the game. One stand out will be Ford’s Super Bowl 51 commercial, with many likely wondering what the song is that is played during the ad.

The song is not an overly popular one these days, but it is possible that you may have heard it before. It dates all the way back to 1967 and is by Nina Simone. Still can’t guess it based on the hints? OK, we’ll give the answer: the name of the song is “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free,” which isn’t too surprising given the lyrics found in the song. Though Simone has this popular version, the original tune was actually by Billy Taylor.

Who Is the Actor Narrating the Ford Go Further Commercial?

What you may have missed, however, is that the commercial is also narrated by a famous actor. Most of the commercial lacks narration, but at the end, a voice cuts in to say: “We go further, so you can.”

Does the voice sound familiar? Well, it maybe should. It is the voice of Bryan Cranston, who you may know from Malcom in the Middle, Breaking Bad or other popular productions.
