Fond du Lac Trick or Treat 2014

We love fall in Wisconsin in part because of the beautiful scenery and crisp air, but also because of the great activities throughout our area — from haunted houses to pumpkin patches, the Fond du Lac area is packed with great things to do with the family in the fall. One of the best fall traditions for kids is, of course, trick-or-treating at the end of October.

Looking for the correct times for the Fond du Lac Trick or Treat 2014? We’ve got the info you’re looking for, as well as some tips for staying safe this Halloween season.

When is Trick or Treating in Fond du Lac for 2014? You’ll be able to take your little goblins, ghosts, and ghouls out for Trick or Treating in Fond du Lac on Sunday, October 26th from 3:30-5:30pm.

kid in lion costumeThese hours are set by city ordinance, so count on them and plan on keeping your trick or treating activities limited to that time period! It’s one of the many ways you can help keep this Halloween a safe one. Here are a few more tips for a safe, happy Halloween in Fond du Lac WI:

Think warm and bright! You want your child’s costume to accomplish two main purposes in addition to being funny/cute/scary: One, it should be plenty warm. We are not known for our warm late-Octobers here in Fond du Lac, and it’s important to stay warm and toasty. Think capes, layers, and hats as part of the costume. In addition, it should be brightly colored for optimal visibility.

Make sure kids know to always walk on designated sidewalks — no cutting across lawns to save a minute or get ahead of the next group! On a similar note, trick-or-treaters should always be going with a group, and young children should be accompanied by you for the duration (you can stand a few feet back and let them ring the bell on their own, of course — it’s one of the thrills of the experience!)

We here at Holiday Ford hope everyone in the Fond du Lac area has a safe, fun, treat-filled Halloween this 2014 season!
