How to keep your Ford Focus looking new

Frequently Wash the Exterior

Washing the exterior of a vehicle is something that most owners don’t do frequently enough. Depending on your climate and surroundings, it may be wise to wash your car about once a week. Otherwise, for most people, once a month will do a good job of keeping it in good shape.

To do this, you should start by giving it a quick rinse with a hose. After this, get two buckets: one filled with soapy water, and the other just plain water. Use the soapy water to wash the car, and the other bucket to rinse your sponge and remove debris you pick up. You should also dry it right away to avoid water spots forming.

If you’ve noticed an odd smell in your car, then you can grab a can of compressed air and give your air vents a quick spray. This should clear the pathway if there was anything having a negative effect on the air. Hiding a dryer sheet under your front seat is another great way to keep a Ford Focus smelling great, plus it’s very inexpensive!

Keep up on routine maintenance

Keeping your vehicle looking new is one thing, but having it drive like it’s new? Now that’s the dream. If you keep up with your routine maintenance and always take care of your car, then that dream could easily become a reality for your and your Ford Focus. Keep out of the sun when parked, if possible

If you are lucky enough to be able to park your car in the shade or even a garage, then we heartily recommend that you do. The sun’s rays can have a negative effect on a car over long periods of time, and if the paint fades the resale value will suffer. This is also just generally a great tip for summer, since no one likes climbing into a hot car.
