  • The guide
  • tape measure
  • pencil
  • checkered sticker

Steps to Set up the Pro Trailer Backup Assist in the Ford F-150

First: Connect your vehicle and trailer on a level surface and pull forward so truck and trailer are aligned with each other.

Second: Press the center of the trailer backup button to begin setup guide.

Third: Input trailer information (name, brake type, brake effort, etc…) and Select Pro Trailer Backup Assist when asked. Place truck in park.

Fourth: Place sticker on trailer as directed — about 7-22 inches from the trailer ball hitch on a flat horizontal surface that the camera can see.

Fifth: Use your measuring tape to record the measurements as directed by your guide sheet.

Sixth: Use the steering wheel controls to enter the measurements in the backup setup and confirm. Make sure the guide highlights the sticker in the camera with a red circle.

Seventh: Drive forward between 4 mph and 25 mph until you get a message that the setup is complete.
