2015 Ford Edge Fond du Lac WI
It’s always exciting when Ford comes out with a newly improved model, but even we weren’t prepared for all of the great upgrades and refinements made to the Ford Edge for 2015. Last month, we went over some of the differences between the Ford Edge and the Ford Escape, but that game is about to change significantly when the 2015 Ford Edge in Fond du Lac WI arrives here at Holiday Ford! The Escape will certainly remain a great compact crossover option, but for those families who really want to step it up… make way for this new Edge!
What’s new? Where do we start? The 2015 Ford Edge will have an exterior makeover, as well as an interior one – and yes, that includes what’s under the hood. The new base engine will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a new turbocharger that will provide an upgrade in low-end torque. For owners, that means better towing capability, and with the optional tow package you could be looking at up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. Bring on the summer fun!
Inside the cabin, you’ll see improved interior finishes all around, more leg room for everyone, standard Bluetooth compatibility, more storage for stashing small items, and a standard 4-inch LCD screen – go for the optional MyFord Touch system and that grows to an 8-inch LCD touchscreen to handle all your entertainment, climate control, and navigation needs.
Safety gets a boost, as well, with a new passenger airbag for improved knee protection, and available features like forward-collision warnings, parking assist, and rear-seat inflatable seat belts.
