There’s a lot of news coming out of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but some of the best stuff we’ve seen so far has been about the newly revealed 2017 Ford Escape. From the first look, it seems like the new Escape will be making improvements across the board — which sounds great since the current Escape is already an amazing vehicle! 2017 Ford Escape Features
The 2017 Ford Escape has a bunch of new features that weren’t available previously. Our personal favorite is the SYNC Connect feature, which will allow vehicle owners to lock, unlock, locate and start their car from their smartphone. It also comes with even more safety features that weren’t in the last Escape. This includes an enhanced Active Park Assist, Lane Keeping Alert, Driver Alert System, and Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning. Not only are all of these great for keeping you and your passengers safe, but the added safety means that it can lower your monthly insurance bill!
New Engines in the 2017 Ford Escape
The inside isn’t the only thing on the new Ford Escape getting an update. Under the hood will be two new EcoBoost engines that will improve performance and efficiency. The new available engines will be the 1.5L and 2.0L EcoBoost engines that contain new features to conserve fuel consumption. If you’re sitting idle, your vehicle will shut off the engine to improve your fuel economy in stop-and-go traffic. Then, when you let go of the brake pedal, the engine starts up automatically in less than half a second.
Along with the two new EcoBoost engines, the 2.5L VCT I-4 engine from the previous Ford Escape will also be standard for the Escape S-Series.
