There has been talk for years now on whether or not Ford will bring back the Ford Ranger or the Ford Bronco — two vehicles that have remained popular well after they stopped being produced. Not only are certain rumors pointing to the fact about Ford making a new Ranger, but details are emerging about what to expect from a New Ford ranger in the near future.

What to expect from a new Ford Ranger

For those who don’t remember, the old Ford Ranger was a smaller, mid-size pickup truck that offered plenty of utility but in a smaller package than the Ford F-150. The last USA-built Ford Ranger rolled off the assembly line in 2011, but the Ranger is still a pretty popular truck to see on the road today, even older model-years. That’s likely why it has never really faded from the public’s mind. A new Ford Ranger sold in the US would likely resemble the current model that is sold in Europe and other countries, as seen below, though likely with some changes.

But what exactly would a new Ford Ranger entail? Nothing is confirmed as of you, but the current talk is that a new Ford Ranger would likely come powered by a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and probably the option for a V6 engine. Current rumors also point toward a diesel engine for the Ford F-150, and it’s not unlikely that we would see that in the Ranger as well. The new Ranger, since it’s a smaller truck, would also be available for less than the current Ford F-150. We’re expecting to see it start at under $25,000 if or when it releases.
