Back in December, Ford unveiled the latest generation of Mustang on the world stage. In a five-city unveiling, the 2015 Mustang wowed audiences in Sydney, Shanghai, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Dearborn, Michigan. Meanwhile, here at Holiday Ford, we could only watch from afar and begin imagining a day when the 2015 Ford Mustang in Fond du Lac WI would become a reality. As that day draws nearer by the month, we invite you to preview this incredible icon with us. Today we give you some of the highlights of 2015 Ford Mustang!

First up is the improved engine line-up. For the standard, and none too shabby a one at that, you’ve got a 3.7-liter V6, slated to deliver 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. Need more power than that? It’s in the bag with the 5.0-liter V8 that’s expected to bring you no less than 420 horsepower and 396 lb-ft. of torque. Want the best of both power and efficiency? That’s where the all-new EcoBoost engine joins the lineup, a 2.3-liter turbo-charged 4-cylinder the likes of which we haven’t seen in a pony car –  until now!

Another big change –  and one that folks have been wondering about and in many cases pining for –  is the new rear suspension we’ll see in the 2015. The Mustang moves on from its long-held solid axle to the independent rear suspension so many have been gunning for. Drivers who switch from a previous Mustang to the 2015 can expect improvements in handling and ride quality with this change.

Other highlights include intelligent access with push-button start, available blind spot monitoring system and SYNC with MyFord Touch, and voice-activated controls. Hey, you were probably going to talk to your Mustang, anyway –  might as well add some functionality to it.
