If you’ve been feeling cooped up this winter, it’s a safe bet that your dog is feeling the same way, and maybe even worse! Of course, you’ve been taking your canine friend out as regularly as possible throughout the colder months, but it’s no secret or surprise that exercise time tends to get expanded as the weather warms up – It doesn’t hurt to be outside anymore! So where can you take your best bud for some quality run-around time? We’ll tell you about some of the best dog parks in Fond du Lac and Oshkosh where you can get your pooch all tuckered out!
FIDO (Friends in Dog Ownership) Park
Location: Satterlee & West Amdt Street in Fond du Lac
Hours: Dawn to Dusk
About: Donated by the power company, this hugely popular dog park in Fond du Lac is a favorite for local dogs and their owners. Benches, chairs, a picnic table, and small dog area are among the highlights of the park
Lakeside Dog Park – West Lake Winnebago
Location: North Main & Harbor View Drive
Hours: Dawn to Dusk
About: A dog exercise area located within Lakeside Park West, it’s a nice big area for your dog to run free and have a ball. Or catch one.
Winnebago County Dog Park
Location: 501 East County Road Y in Oshkosh
Hours: Daylight
About: The Best Friends dog park is part of the larger Winnebago County Community Park, and is located in the park’s northeast corner. There are two sections – one that smaller dogs can stick to if the larger section gets over-run with big fellas, clean bags, and a port-a-potty for humans.
