We all want to get the most our of our vehicles. One way to do this is to be armed with ways to drive more efficiently to from point A to point B. Here is a quick list of ways to make sure you’re getting the most out of your miles.

1. Obey the Speed Limit – Sometimes it seems like the speed limit exists just to get you in trouble, but it’s actually there to help you and your vehicle. Driving faster than the speed limit actually uses more gas, so even if you get there faster you are using much more gas to do it. Take your time and save yourself some gas money and a speeding ticket. Some city speed limits were created to help you hit all those green lights so if you go too fast you’ll just end up stopping anyway.

2. Use Your Cruise Control – Cruise Control is your friend. Not only does it allow you to stay at a locked speed but it helps you decrease the amount of gas you use. Maintaining a constant speed reduces your gas usage.

3. Be a Safe Driver – This should be a no brainer but driving safe helps keep your car safe. Don’t weave in and out of lanes in attempt to get places faster. It doesn’t work and it’s bad for your car. Also don’t force your car to come to a screeching halt, not only is horrible for your vehicle but it probably isn’t good for your ears either.

These three simple tips will help your car with gas efficiency and keeping you safer at the same time.
