Here’s what we think is the most exciting part of this newly redesigned crossover’s Sport trim: a new and exclusive engine you won’t find on another model. This 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 will get you 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and fuel economy numbers you wouldn’t expect from such a powerful vehicle.

So, what are these fuel economy numbers you can expect to see in the Edge Sport? For the standard front-wheel drive model, the EPA-estimated mileage is 18 city and 27 (combined 21) highway, and if you opt for all-wheel drive it’s a comparable 17 city and 24 highway (combined 20). This is thanks to EcoBoost technology, which aims to provide that sought-after combination of efficiency and power without sacrificing good numbers for either.
