It won’t be too much longer before we can finally get our hands on the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, but there’s still some questions on our mind, despite all the fun info that we do know. A big question with a sporty, off-roading truck like the F-150 Raptor is what kind of cab and bed variations you can expect from it. So what cab styles are available in the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor?
2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Cab Styles
The 2017 Ford Raptor is going to be available in two different cab styles. For a while Ford was only showing off the Extended Cab model — which is able to seat six and has two full-size doors, as well as a pair of smaller doors that open behind the driver and passengers ones. However, if you want more space you can also pick up the 2017 F-150 Raptor as a SuperCrew model, which was officially announced by Ford recently.

Besides just offering the two additional full-size doors and more passenger room, the SuperCrew will have some other effects on the rest of the Raptor’s configuration. One notable differences is its 145-in wheelbase, which is 12-in longer than on the Raptor SuperCab. If we compare the 2014 Raptor’s cab styles, it could also mean that the SuperCrew will have a larger fuel tank — as the 2014 model had a capacity 10 gallons larger than the SuperCab. The truck bed is really only expected to come in one style — the 5.5 ft. box since the Raptor’s main focus isn’t on loading up the box, but on off-road and performance.

Specs of the 2017 Ford Raptor
Want to know what else you can expect from the new 2017 Ford Raptor? It will be about 500 lbs lighter than the 2014 model, and more powerful. It will come powered with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost — which is rated at 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft. of torque — which is a Raptor exclusive engine. Paired with the powerful V6 is a sporty and efficient 10-speed automatic transmission.
