Oil changes at Holiday
At Holiday Automotive we see a lot of vehicles come in and out of our service center. When our happy customers leave, though, they don’t always take everything with them. No, we don’t mean they leave their phone or sweater – we mean those customers who come in for oil changes at Holiday leave behind the oil that we replace for them. So, what? Well ordinarily that oil would be disposed of at a facility and we’d never hear from it again. Here we do something a little different with it!
Turns out that this “waste” oil is actually entirely reusable – not again in our vehicles, but for another purpose entirely. Here at Holiday stores we reuse every drop of waste oil from the oil changes we perform in order to heat our facilities! Best of all, we’re able to heat every square foot of our stores this way.
Certainly cars and trucks are getting more efficient all the time, and we just want to do the same. This saves us money, of course, but it’s also a good way to make the most of our resources and avoid being unnecessarily wasteful. What are some of the most efficient vehicles at Holiday Ford? Of course hybrids like the Ford Fusion Energi and the C-Max are among the top performers in that department, but even our gas-powered cars like the Focus and Fiesta are getting as much as 37 or 38 highway miles per gallon.
