The upcoming Consumer Electronic Show for 2016 is coming up fast, and if you’ve been paying attention to the automotive news and rumors lately, it seems like it could be a pretty car-heavy show compared to other years. Vehicles are becoming more and more ingrained in the tech world every year, but it seems Ford in particular will have a strong presence at CES. Here’s what to expect from Ford at CES 2016.

Ford GT at CES 2016

CES 2016 is set to start on January 6 — and will run until Jan. 9 — and we couldn’t be more excited. Even though the event isn’t necessarily an auto show, it is having that kind of feel this year. Especially since the Ford GT will be the official show vehicle at CES 2016, and there’s truly no better choice. The GT is packed with high-tech features, though ones that you may not think of immediately. Its carbon fiber body, immensely powerful V6 engine, and gorilla glass hybrid windshield make it far more advanced than many other vehicles.

What to expect from Ford at CES 2016When is Ford’s CES Press Conference?

Ford will be holding its press conferences for CES on press day, the day before the show officially bigins, and it will be held from 7:30-8am PST. So what can we expect from Ford at CES 2016 during the press conference and the rest of the show? The Ford GT will undoubtedly be shown off, since it’s the official car of the show. There’s also a good chance that we will learn more about Apple CarPlay or Android Auto — since that would fit with the tech theme very well. And finally, there’s been plenty of rumors about a team-up between Ford and Google for self-driving cars. If this is true, then this is the show to announce it at.
