What to expect from the Ford Fusion ST

The Fusion will be joining the Ford Focus and Fiesta in its lineup of performance vehicles with the ST suffix, and it’s recently been spied out in the public. It’s typical for manufacturers to run tests by having their prototypes run free, out in the wild, but it’s still exciting when it happens — since we learn new info! Wondering what to expect from the Ford Fusion ST? Thankfully we have some answers!

when will the fusion st be available?Differences between the Ford Fusion and Fusion ST

The upcoming Fusion ST will feature a number of performance driven changes compared to the current Fusion model. One such change is an intercooler located in the lower grille opening. Most of the body, besides this, is staying the same, though there is some changes happening in the back. The thing that will stand out the most is the quad-tip exhaust pipes. As with the other ST models, the Fusion will also be sporting some larger wheels.

Thankfully the changes on the Fusion ST aren’t all cosmetic! It’s rumored that the Fusion ST will be powered by a 2.7L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 — which is larger than the 2.3L EcoBoost in the Mustang! It’s very likely, no matter which engine they end up deciding to use, that the Fusion ST will be delivering over 300 HP. For comparison, the lighter Focus ST is powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged EcoBoost engine.
