It might seem odd to want to know how much a truck weighs, but it’s actually a highly important figure, especially for staying safe on the road. Need to know how much the 2016 Ford F-250 weighs? That depends a lot on what trim you’re driving, but we can break down some curb weights below!

Curb Weight for the 2016 Ford F-350

The Ford F-350 is built to handle more than both the Ford F-150 and F-250 trucks, and to do that it needs an increase in weight. The curb weight of the F-350 XL 4×2 is 6,010 lbs. Along with the curb weight, there’s some other figures you should know when using your truck for work. This includes the GVWR, GCWR, Max Trailering Weight, and Max Payload. We’ve included a handy chart below to help you out here!

When you move up trim levels, add a 4×4 system, or are driving a DRW truck then you can expect your curb weight to increase. The 2016 F-350 Lariat 4×4 DRW has a curb weight of 7,460 lbs. Along with its extra weight, some of its other numbers and capabilities have also gone up.

Why is it important to know your Truck’s weight?

So what makes knowing the weight of the 2016 F-350 so important? Well, overloading the F-350 could result in serious damage to the F-350, or make it overly difficult to control on the road. Things like broken springs or suspension components can fail when too much weight is put on a truck, and it’s not uncommon for the transmission or engine to overheat from too much strain. Braking will also become difficult ton an overloaded truck, and if the tire temperature rises too much they can blowout.
