How to fix a blurry backup camera?
If your backup camera is just blurry, then the fix is likely very simple. You just need to clean your camera. This can be best done with a clean microfiber cloth, but you can even do it with the tip of your finger. Just locate the camera, typically above your license plate and give it a wipe.

In the winter months, you may want to get in the habit of cleaning your backup camera every time before you get into your car. Due to its position in the back, it can pick up all manner of road dirt and gunk including snow, salt, or sand.
If your camera is perfectly clean, but it’s still blurry, then there may be an internal problem or a problem with the lens. At that point, you should take your car in to see a mechanic. It could be a minor fix, and if your Ford is still under its basic bumper-to-bumper warranty, it should be covered.
What should you do when your Ford has a recall?
What to do if your backup camera displays a black picture
There are a few things this could be. For starters, it could still mean your backup camera is dirty. If a big glob of something managed to cover the lens, you will not be able to see anything, but if there is nothing obstructing the view then there are a few other things you can try.
First, try bringing your Ford to a stop and putting it in drive or park. Does your infotainment screen go back to displaying its normal interface? Then try putting the car in reverse again to see if you get a video feed.
If your infotainment screen is always black or if cycling your gears didn’t fix the dead feed, then turn your car completely off, let it sit for a minute or two, and then turn it back on. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, then you will need to get a mechanic involved.
